Triyugi-Narayan: A Religious Wedding Destination

Triyuginarayan Temple |Do you know that this is present on this earth, the place where Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati were actually married. The Triyuginarayan (Trijuginarayan) temple of Uttarakhand is the holy and special mythological temple. Fire has been burning in this temple for centuries. Shiva-Parvati had married this holy fire as a witness. This place is a part of Rudraprayag district. It is said about the Triyuginarayan Temple that it is auspicious place of Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati.

The burning fire inside the temple is fired for many yugas, hence the name of this place has become Triuyugi i.e. fire which is burning from three eras.

Triyuginarayan was the capital of Himavat. In the marriage of Shiva Parvati here, Vishnu had followed all the rituals in the form of Parvati's brother. While Brahma became a priest in this marriage At that time, all saint-monks participated in this ceremony. The place of marriage venue is called Brahm Shila, which is situated right in front of the temple. The description of the magnificence of this temple is also found in the Sthal Purana.

Before the marriage, all the Gods also had a bath here, and therefore there are three kunds (small Ponds) which are called Rudra Kund, Vishnu Kund and Brahma Kund. Water comes from the Saraswati Kund in these three kunds. The Saraswati Kund was constructed from Vaishnu's nostrils and therefore it is believed that bathing in these kunds gives liberation from the infertility.

All devotees who visit this sacred place take the bhabhoot of ignorant light flame here so that their marital life is always good with the blessings of Shiva and Parvati.

It is mentioned in the Vedas that this Triyuginarayan temple is established from Tretayug. While Kedarnath and Badrinath were established in Dwaparug. It is also believed that at this place Lord Vishnu took the Avatar of Vaman Devta.

According to legend, to get Indrasan, King Bali had had to perform hundred yagya, out of these 99 Yagya had been completed, then Lord Vishnu stopped Vaman with the incarnation so that Yagya was dissolved. Vishnu is worshiped in the form of Lord Vaman Deity here.
