Cardiac arrest due to stress ||
Noted playback singer Krishnakumar Kunnath (KK) died on Tuesday (31 May'2022) evening, hours after the live show in Kolkata India. According to reports, KK had a sudden cardiac arrest after the show, after which he was taken to the Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI), where doctors declared him brought dead. KK was 53 years old, his death has shocked the whole country.

This is yet another case in a series of young heart attack deaths in recent years. According to media reports, the show was organized at a closed location. He had also complained to the organizers regarding this.

According to reports, he was not feeling well even during the show, he was feeling restless and excessive sweating, which probably led to a cardiac arrest. After this incident, questions have started to arise whether this problem happened due to not being in the open and overcrowding? For what reason are the instances of death because of heart issues expanding in individuals in the age gathering of 40-50 years? Let's know about this.

What did the eyewitnesses tell?

Some of the spectators involved in the program told the media that the Nazrul Manch auditorium, where the event was held, was indoor and the crowd had become very large. Air-conditioning was also not working properly. KK was feeling the heat along with the spectators, once he even asked the organizers to dim the lights on him to reduce the heat. So did KK have a cardiac arrest due to too much heat?

Did heat and suffocation kill you?

To know the answer to this question, we spoke to Dr. Vinita Agarwal, Senior Cardiologist in Lucknow. Dr Vinita says, what is the real cause of KK's death, it will be clear only after the post-mortem report. However, the way reports are claiming that the concert was indoor and the crowd was overcrowded, the situation could be triggering problems for those already suffering from heart diseases. Although suffocation is not known to directly cause heart attack or cardiac arrest, it can indirectly aggravate problems.

Can the problem of heart diseases be triggered due to heat?

During the summer, people tend to go to crowded places and feel suffocated if there is no good ventilation system. In this, the heart starts beating faster and the heart has to work harder to pump blood to cool the body. In such a situation, for people who already have heart disease, this condition can be serious.

Excessive sweating may indicate serious heart problems

Cardiologists say that excessive sweating is the body's natural reaction to excess heat. People who have sudden onset of restlessness or excessive sweating should avoid situations that trigger the problem, which can be a sign of a heart attack.

In the event of a heart attack or cardiac arrest, you may also experience pain and pressure in the chest or arms along with extreme heat or sweating. In such situations, there is a need to be alert immediately.

What to do in emergency situations?

Cardiologists tell that if you suddenly feel excessive sweating, excessive heat or discomfort, then consider it as an emergency and go to a specialist immediately. Ignoring such symptoms can be fatal. With prompt treatment, the chances of saving a life increase while reducing the risk of heart attack.
