How to Care of Your Eyes

If you take care of some small things, then the eyes will not only accompany you throughout your life, but their health and beauty will also remain. Eyes are the most valuable and important part of the body, so special care should be taken for their health. Some useful tips regarding how to take care of eyes from infancy to old age.

In infancy:-


The mother should pay attention to the constant discharge coming out of the eyes of the babies. This can be a sign of a defect in the eyes. For this it is necessary to see a doctor. Do not apply inferior quality of kajal (black paste) or antimony with a view that it will protect the child from sight.

In childhood and adolescence:-


At this age, excesses are done with the eyes. Watching too much TV and studying for many hours strains the eyes. If there is any weakness in the eyes, such as distant vision or color blindness, then it can be detected at this age. Although these deficiencies are genetic, bad habits can exacerbate them. For this keep some tips in mind.

* Eat healthy food, which contains vitamins and nutrients. If there is any deficiency in the essential elements in the food, then the eyes look a bit extinguished and many problems can arise.

* When the eyes get tired after reading for several hours, then splash clean cold water on them for relief.

* Keep a distance of about 12 inches between the eyes and the book.

* Never use someone else's handkerchief or towel to wipe eyes or face.

* Eye exercise is also important. Especially if you have to sit and study for many hours.

* While watching TV, keep a light on.

In youth:


There are some professions, such as those related to computers, which put a lot of stress on the eyes. If you work on the computer for a long time, take a five-minute break after every hour and do some eye exercises.

* Keep the palms on the eyes till all the colors stop showing and only black color is visible.

* Blink your eyes fast. Do this 20 times.

* Widen the eyes in such a way that the eyes become bigger than the size of the sphere. Look first to the left, then to the right and then down. In this way move the eyes in both the directions four or four times six times.

 

For all age group :-


* Protect eyes from dust, dirt and smoke.

* There should be proper lighting while reading, writing or working.

* Puffy eyes are a common problem. For this, while applying creams, gels or moisturizers, lightly dab on the eyes. It helps in flushing out the excess fluid.

* Keep the eye cream in the fridge. Keeping it cool will help in removing this swelling.

Place potato or cucumber slices or grated potatoes over closed eyes, it will reduce swelling. Soak cotton swabs in icy water and milk and place them on the eyes. When the swabs are hot, apply cold swabs again. Do this for 15 minutes. While doing this, it will be even more beneficial if you can keep your feet high on the pillow or on the wall.
