Baba Barfani| If everything is in line with the expectations, the devotees will be able to visit Baba Barfani n the cave from 10 Feb'2019 located at Timmaresan, Niti, a village situated on the Chinese border of Chamoli district Uttarakhand. The Government has taken this decision in view of the belief of Shivalinga and local people, which are formed by snow in winter.
The purpose of this journey is to introduce the devotees and tourists to new religious and tourist destinations, while the livelihood of the locals is also being considered as an effective step.
Nearly 82 km from Block Headquarter Joshimath in Chamoli district, the last village of the country is Niti. A small cave of Mahadev, at a place called Timmarsainan, about 700 meters away from the main road, is one km away from the village.
Additional Commissioner Garhwal Mandal Harak Singh Rawat also visited Baba Barfani in last November. He had prepared a report in this regard and sent it to the government besides the commissioner. It was recommended in the month of February to start the journey on the lines of Amarnath too.
In this order, the government has decided to start the journey from February 10. Additional Commissioner Garhwal Mandal Harak Singh Rawat said that in this regard, necessary guidelines have been issued from the Secretary Tourism. He hoped that in the future, this trip will get better results.
Additional Commissioner raised the information about the appearance of Mahadev in this form from the local people last year. It was told that in the place where the snow is seen, the local people are known by the name of Babook Udiyar. However, earlier it was known to local people only.
In summer, people of local villages reach to the cave for the puja in the cave. At the same time, in the winter, Mahadev gives a glimpse in the form of ice in the form of Shivling. First of all, Dainik Jagran had introduced the country and the world with this information.
