Rakshabandhan is celebrated with full moon of the month of Shravan. This time this festival will be celebrated on August 26,2018 on the Shravani Purnima. This is the day of expression of selfless love of brother and sister. On this day the sisters take the pledge on their wrists and pledge their protection. What should be kept in the worship plate on Rakshabandan, it is necessary for every sister to know about this. On the festival day, these special things should be kept in the plate of worship by Sister on the day of worship, along with the Rakshasootra (Raakhi) and the Kumkum.

1. Kumkum (Vermilion)
On Rakshabandhan, the first thing to be in the plate of worship is that it is compulsory, that is the Kumkum i.e. vermilion. It is believed in Hindu religion that any auspicious work should be started by putting a tikka of Kumkum. Sister tilak on the forehead of the brother also wishes for his longevity.


2.Chawal (Rice)-
It is also mandatory to apply a tilak on the forehead after applying Kumkum. In fact, rice is called as Akshat. It means that Akshat, which is not incomplete. So in this way, putting rice on top of Tilak means that the effect of Tilak on brother's life always remains.

3. Coconut -
Nowadays, sisters forget to keep the coconut in he plate. Coconut is also called Sreefal, in which the expression from 'Shree' is the result of Goddess Lakshmi. While giving this result, sister wishes that happiness and prosperity will continue in her brother's life and he continues to grow.


4. Rakshasootra (Raakhi) -
Tridosh (kind of three peccancies in our body)are cured  by tying the Raakhi or rakshasootra on the wrist. These Tridosh means Vaat, Pitt and cough. Any disease in our body is related to these flaws. By keeping the defense formula on the wrist, the balance of these three remains in the body. It has been proven by the scientists that by tying a thread of the knot, the pressure on the nerves of the wrist causes the three faults to be controlled.

5. Dessert -
Why is the sweetness dumped after rakhi binding, there is also a belief behind it.
